Research School Launch

The launch of the Oldham Research School by The Greetland Academy, has been covered in the Oldham Times.


The Academy's Jo Pearson leads the Research school with the support of our Teamworks Teaching School Alliance partner schools. Jo works with Research Champions: Adam Harris, the Greetland Academy; Helen Crowther, Beech Hill Primary School; and Cath Profiitt, The Halifax Academy.

QTS skills tests


This programme is QTS plus PGCE.  Our programme ensures you experience a high quality, rigorous and supportive ITE entirely based in schools with both Qualified Teacher Status and a top up award of PGCE from The University of Huddersfield. The training days for the programme are spread across the academic year and are taught by a specialist team of staff including classroom teachers, school leaders, SENCos, examiners and Specialist Leaders of Education.

In order to accepted on the programme you will need to pass the ITT Skills tests in literacy and numeracy.  You can find more information here including practice materials and an online test.
